Behind the Scenes (PLEASE PARDON THE APPEARANCE OF THIS PAGE, WE ARE UPDATING EMPLOYEE INFORMATION AS WELL AS ALTERING ITS FORMAT)
Dr. Anne Marie Marcellino, CCEP - Spa Administrator For almost a decade, Dr. Anne Marie has ran a successful health and wellness based practice, Alive & Well Chiropractic. She has experienced that when people feel good about themselves, they tend to live healthier lifestyles from the inside out."I wanted each treatment that we offer to be results orientated but wellness based. When my sister and I were designing the spa and its treatment menu, we asked ourselves 'What would be our ultimate spa experience? Collectively, we came up with a few ideas that will help you relax while improving the quality of life. We hope you'll enjoy your experience as much as we love providing it to you!" Christina Oliva - Spa Director For several years, Christina managed and directed both Med Spas as well as Day Spas in the North Shore area. Combining both spa concepts, she developed Vitality Wellness Spa using the most cutting edge technology in a "feel good" environment.
"I love building relationships with every person that walks into Vitality. It's kinda funny to see people come in all stressed out and then leave a complete jellyfish! Although helping people look and feel better about themselves is important, I believe the ultimate reward is passing on that positive "vital" energy to one another!"

Here, these talented skincare and massage gurus share their favorite treatments and more. Jessica McEwen - Massage Therapist
Professional Training: Graduate of SpaTech Institute Ipswich, MA 2004. Favorite Treatment & Description: Balanced Zenergy Steam Treatment: This treatment allows me conjure up a mixed back of all my therapeutic tricks. I can perform a little of trigger point/myofascial release, craniosacral therapy, hot stone placement, stretching and breathwork. My clients seem to gain balance, clear their mind, and become free from tension. Although I love performing all of the Steam Body Wraps, this one takes the cake! What Makes it Effective?: The power of Steam! Massage already stimulates toxin removal, but the steam allows the “flushing” process to begin. Most of my clients significantly notice improvement in their overall health when they do these treatments on a regular basis. Favorite Massage Techniques: I need to make sure my clients are free from tension when they leave. Therefore, I find trigger point and myofascial release work best. I’m also finding great results from craniosacral therapy as well! What is the Greatest Misconception Clients have about Massage? I’ll get back to you on that. How do you instill loyalty in your Clients?: Pain & torture! - No, just kidding. I just try to release every spasm and knot I find, which leaves them with more range of motion.

Nicole Underwood - Massage Therpist/ Reiki Master
Jennifer Pratt - Massage Therapist/Aesthetician
Professional Training: Graduate of The Massachusetts Institute of Therapeutic Massage Burlington, MA 2002. The Catherine Hinds School of Esthetics 2007.
Favorite Treatment & Description: The Half and Half Vital Essentials Treatment: This treatment allows me to utilize both my skills as a nurturing massage therapist while implementing my new love of skincare. I usually start the client face down with an exfoliating back massage, then flip them over and continue to refresh their skin with a thorough cleansing, enzyme exfoliation, and a handmade finishing mask that I whip up before the treatment according to their skin type. Although, 60 minutes is just enough to do a little of both, my clients seem to realize they benefit more from a 90 or 120 minute combo instead. They usually fall asleep towards the end of this “Vital” duo with the longer treatments.
What Makes it Effective?: For those who can’t decide what to get, or who have never received any spa treatments before, they get the best of both worlds! They don’t even have to get up, just roll over. C’mon, who wouldn’t LOVE this?
Favorite Skincare/Massage Techniques: I really enjoy seeing the results from a lactic or glycolic peel. My client’s skin just comes to life, and they’re really happy with the results too! When my clients are happy, I’m happy! During my massages, I like to mix it up with a little therapeutic work smoothed over with some relaxation.
What is the Greatest Misconception Clients have about Skincare/Massage? That one is more relaxing than the other. I’ve had massage and facial clients able to equally relax during both treatments. I guess it just depends on the client.
How do you instill loyalty in your Clients?: I treat them with love, respect, and complete honesty.

Marisa PetraliaMarisa uses verbal and tactile cues to ensure the use of proper form. When the body is in correct alignment, working from a stable source (the powerhouse) will allow the core to strengthen as muscles lengthen.
"Our goal is to combine stability and flow, with a focus on transitions; gracefully removing from one move to the next without stopping." Stephanie Swinford
Attorney by day, yoga instructor by night, Stephanie knows all about how important it is to bring back your inner chi. Her teaching style is in Vini Yoga, a form of Hatha yoga. It is restorative and therapeutic, and is based essentially on the individual's breath; that is, the length or intensity of movement is determined by the individual's capacity to inhale deeply and exhale fully.
